COVID-19 Response Unit (CRU)
The COVID-19 Response Unit (CRU) oversees core elements of the University’s efforts to enhance health and safety on campus amid the coronavirus pandemic. It is made up of a team of medical and administrative personnel charged with directing and implementing the University’s COVID-19 medical, health, and safety strategy.
Daily Health Checks
All Notre Dame students, faculty, and staff will be required to complete an online daily health check. The CRU monitors the compliance, results, and trends from the daily health check and provides necessary guidance to individuals regarding additional medical assessment.
The CRU oversees the University Testing Center for full-time faculty and staff, and all enrolled Notre Dame students.
Tests are administered by appointment only. Students should first complete a telehealth screening through University Health Services (UHS), while faculty and staff may utilize telehealth services through the Notre Dame Wellness Center or their primary care provider. If a faculty or staff member consults their primary care provider and their provider orders a COVID-19 test, the faculty or staff member can be tested at the University Testing Center, with an appointment scheduled through the Wellness Center.
Contact Tracing and Quarantine/Isolation Protocols
The CRU’s contact tracing strategy is an integral part of keeping our community healthy. The CRU team includes contact tracers trained to identify high-risk or close contacts and provide timely notifications to prevent further transmission.
The CRU operates a hotline to answer coronavirus-related questions. - 8:00am - 5:00pm (EST), Monday - Friday
- Closed on weekends and all holidays observed by the University
- Voicemail and email will be monitored during "after hours"
